This is the second time I’ve read this novel and, thanks to my close friend over at Dodging Commas, Stef, I got to enjoy a signed copy! Gaiman’s stories always have a hint of magic and the macabre, and The Graveyard Book is gorgeous. Nobody “Bod” Owens grows up in a graveyard. His parents are ghosts and his guardian is neither living or dead, but rather walks somewhere in between. The novel follows Bod as he goes on many adventures including a visit to the barren world of the ghouls, journeying deep underground to meet the ancient Sleer, and going to a normal school. However, the people who killed Bod’s first family are still lurking, and Bod has to use all the powers of the graveyard to survive.

I would have kids just so I could read this book to them.
